User experience – User interface – Information architecture – Wireframes – Prototyping
The goal of the project was to design a booking platform for the activity the tourist can do inside the island natural park. Aside from the booking feature the platform also has a safeguard aspect: it allows the users to alert a rescue team if something goes wrong during their stay in the island natural park.
The rescue feature was the most challenging feature of the project. It has to allow the user to send a SOS in a fast and easy way and to update him about the status of the rescue mission.
I designed the rescue mission workflow and detailed all the actions that the rescue team must do in order to communicate the rescue mission status to the user.
The SOS request action is simple to use and understand to the user, indeed the user has to tap the time on the SOS screen in order to send the SOS. I studied this action as it is because I wanted to make the SOS easy to send in stressful situations like when someone is lost or injured, but not too easy so as to prevent accidental sending.
The island of Culuccia is a privately owned farm and natural park, located in the north of Sardinia, on the Gallura coast. The project aims to enhance its products and the rediscovery of its territory through guided tours on foot or on horseback, and the practice of various sports activities; respecting its nature, its ecosystems and its history.
I was the only designer on the project so everything you see I created myself. I was involved in everything from designing flows and wireframes, all the way to creating final UI designs as well as designing the design system.
