The Moscow Metro was one of the USSR’s most ambitious architectural projects. The metro’s artists and architects worked to design a structure that embodied svet (radiance or brilliance) and svetloe budushchee (a radiant future). With their reflective marble walls, high ceilings and grand chandeliers, many Moscow Metro stations have been likened to an “artificial underground sun”.

Project
Project
Madrid, May 2018
The Symmetry Project comes from the idea of wanting to create a series of images with a strong visual impact starting from a single small detail. In this case I used a photograph taken at a building in the center of Madrid to create beautiful images graphically and having symmetry as common thread.

The St. Petersburg Metro system exhibits many typical Soviet designs and features exquisite decorations and artworkmaking it one of the most attractive and elegant metros in the world. Due to the city’s unique geology, the Saint Petersburg Metro is one of the deepest metro systems in the world and the deepest by the average depth of all the stations. The system’s deepest station, Admiralteyskaya, is 86 metres below ground.
